The River Road Historical Society is pleased to offer its second annual Past Times Summer Camp at Destrehan Plantation. Organized and operated by Destrehan Plantation staff members and volunteers with expertise in numerous topics related to Louisiana history, Past Times Camp is available for children between the ages of 7-12. Each day, campers will use the extensive grounds and buildings of Destrehan Plantation as the backdrop for their fun and learning. The camp will include indoor and outdoor activities as the children explore history from the earliest inhabitants to the Civil War. The camp includes presentations by staff members and volunteers along with numerous hands-on activities to make history come alive.
