The Spirits of Destrehan
When the sun goes down, the spirits of Destrehan Plantation come to life on this riveting history tour, created in partnership with NOLA Ghost Riders.
Joining you on this 2+-hour interactive tour will be an engaging storyteller who will both educate and entertain as you tour the Big House and the grounds. Your guide, an experienced paranormal investigator, will share chilling stories of the 1811 Slave Revolt and tell the tales of other ghosts that some say inhabit this former sugar plantation. Enslaved Africans, Free Creoles of Color, Acadians, and Native Americans all lived, worked, and died on Destrehan Plantation. They say some never left. Equipment used during this tour will include dowsing rods, K2 meters, and spirit boxes.
